Dreamyguy is my digital home and a place for everything “Wallace Rodrigues”. I chose the domain name as a way to reflect more what I felt like, and “dreamyguy” seemed much more like myself than “innerflash”.

The first version had only a single page, a page that was only meant to be temporary. On that page I wrote mostly about my experience as a web designer, the tools I used and the skills I had. Dreamyguy also marked a very important tendency that had started gradually but which, at that point, had already found its roots deeply set into every project I did: fluency in semantic & valid XHTML markup and fluency in CSS as a language of development. That gave a very positive impact in my work flow. I stopped using WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) programs /views and started to develop directly on code, exclusively. That enabled me to “see the matrix” behind every web page and work on it directly. It was about that time that I discovered an amazing debugger for web pages called “Firebug”. Firebug is a DOM inspector (released as a plugin for the Firefox browser) that enables one to trace and find flaws with web pages on the fly, making web development easier than ever – if you are fluent in XHMTL and CSS…

I did mean to replace my utterly outdated portfolio at InnerFlash with a fresher one, one built upon a CMS of some form, but somehow I got caught up in other things that needed my attention. I ended up postponing it for lack of other option, but I’m glad it happened so, for now I have much more knowledge to build it upon – and things to show. That’s what I put on the second version of Dreamyguy, the version you are now browsing and which is the result of a couple of weeks of intense work.
