After moving back to Oslo (from Granada, Spain) me and Fatima decided to give El Jardín a more somber profile, something that would appeal more to companies looking for yoga teachers to help their employees relax. El Jardín v.2 was also built entirely in Flash, with the exception of the welcome page.

Even though El Jardín was an initiative of both Fatima (my wife) and me, it was her who got to use it as a way of presenting herself, for I was involved in other jobs. This version of El Jardín helped her to give yoga classes in several places, but I felt that we needed something else to really be seen out there. The more I used Wordpress (a blogging system that is often used as CMS), the more I felt I wanted to use it for my future projects – and El Jardín was no exception.

However, as the time went by and our personal interests changed, me and Fatima felt a very strong urge to start something new, something fresher. We felt we needed a simpler, shorter name that defined what we wanted to get to. Esencia was then born, replacing El Jardín.
