Esencia is the result of years of experience, brainstorming, planning and gathering of information/inspiration of both me and my wife Fatima. It is more than that, too. We believe it is the project we want to carry on through our lives together as a couple, a way to give back to the world what we got – and continue getting – from it: love, healing, balance, harmony.

Esencia means “essence” in several languages. We like this word a lot, for it really says a lot. We all want to know and experience our purest essence. Once we understand our true essence, we are boundless. We can then live in full communion with our true self – everything. Besides that “full-of-meaning” way of looking at it, it fits perfectly to our concept to integrate Ayurveda with yoga and other kind of alternative treatments. Essential oils are a very important part of Ayurveda, and we mean to use them extensively within Esencia as well. We hold our activities in Oslo, Norway.

The website was done in Wordpress from scratch. I applied my knowledge for the best benefit of Esencia, and it practically has everything I believe a website of this nature should have. Note however that the website is still under development and that many things will follow soon – like a blog, for instance. Wordpress is beyond doubt the most current and up-to-date open-source system I know of, and I strongly recommend it. Fatima is learning it really fast, and she has absolutelly no background in website administration. Wordpress’s administration is sooo user friendly.
